Leif Ove Andsnes, Klaus Mäkelä, and the Oslo Philharmonic open the orchestra season with Beethoven's fifth piano concerto, "The Emperor Concerto." The orchestral piece Play from 2013 established Andrew Norman as an important voice in the American contemporary music scene.

Årets høstsesong åpnes med et program viet pianotrioen — kammermusikkens kanskje mest kraftfulle og allsidige besetning, i alle fall om man spør en pianist! Ludwig van Beethoven opplevde sterke følelser av lengsel i mange former gjennom sitt liv: Hans komposisjoner vitner om en stadig søken etter noe større, det være seg kjærlighet, medmenneskelighet, noe som berører, eller rett og slett det vakre.
