One of the world's most sought-after conductors
Klaus has been the Oslo Philharmonic's chief conductor since 2019. In the 24/25 Season you can hear him lead the orchestra through eleven different programs in 19 concerts.
For our fifth season we have a fantastic programme with music ranging from Mozart’s Requiem and Andrew Norman’s Play to Sibelius’ Lemminkäinen. We continue our major Shostakovich project with performances and recordings of symphonies nos 1, 11 and 15 and celebrate the release of our first Shostakovich album this summer, with a special release-day concert where we will perform Symphony No. 5.
We are delighted to have two of Norway’s greatest soloists join us for concerts, both at home and on tour. Leif Ove Andsnes opens the season with Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 and Vilde Frang performs Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto in October, in a programme that also features Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. We can’t wait for the season to start and hope you will join us.
