This privacy statement explains what kind of personal data the Oslo Philharmonic processes, how we process it, and for what purposes.
Data Controller
The Oslo Philharmonic Foundation, represented by the director, is the data controller for personal data where we determine the purpose of the data processing and the means used for this purpose. In this privacy statement, you can read more about the processing for which the Oslo Philharmonic is responsible.

When does the Oslo Philharmonic collect personal data?
We primarily process information about you in the following cases:
You have purchased a ticket to one of our concerts or events.
You have sent us an inquiry.
You subscribe to our newsletter.
You have responded to our feedback form following a concert or event.
You have applied for a job with us.
You visit our website www.ofo.no.
We may also receive information from others in the following cases:
Du are a composer of a work performed at one of our concerts
A job applicant has listed you as a reference
The Oslo Philharmonic uses an IT operating model that employs external suppliers for the operation and maintenance of our internal IT services, including ticket purchases, newsletter service, feedback forms, and video conferencing solutions. All infrastructure and data are located within the EU/EEA or in countries that achieve an adequate level of protection according to the decision of the EU Commission.

The Oslo Philharmonic analyzes user behavior, visit statistics, and activity on our websites by collecting cookies. These are small text files stored on your computer when you visit a website.

Ticket Purchase
Processing of personal data in connection with the purchase of tickets at one of the Oslo Philharmonic's concerts
When buying a ticket, the following personal data is collected:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Address
- Postal Code and City
- Country
- Preferred Language
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
- Mobile Number
- Ticket Type (e.g., adult, student, senior, etc.)
- Time of Purchase
- Purchaser's IP Address at the Time of Purchase
- Purchase Location (online or sales office)
- Whether the ticket has been printed or not
- Gender
- Age
- Payment Method (e.g., VISA, Mastercard, Vipps, etc., but not card number)
- Whether the customer wishes to subscribe to our newsletter or not
The data processor for our customer data is Tixly.no, and customer data is shared with Oslo Concert Hall but not with others.
Hospitality Emails
Before and after each concert, hospitality emails are sent to all emails that have purchased a ticket and have not opted out of receiving marketing information from the Oslo Philharmonic.
Feedback Form
After each concert, all recipients of hospitality emails will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the concert they attended. Responding to the survey is voluntary.
When you respond to the survey, the following information is stored:
- Response Time
- Which concert you attended
- The individual responses to the survey
All responses are stored in a separate database operated by our data processor, Typeform. By responding to the survey, you agree that we process the information you provide in the response form.
Other Processing of Personal Data
Newsletter
The Oslo Philharmonic sends out newsletters to those who wish to receive them. This includes information about upcoming concerts, current news, and other relevant content related to our activities that are of interest to the audience.
If you want us to send you our newsletter by email, you must register an email address. This will only be used to send out newsletters. When you sign up for our newsletter, you consent to us processing information about you. We collect the following information:
- Email Address
- Full Name (if desired)
- Which emails you open and when
- Whether you click on a link in an email or not
- Preferred Email Client
- Approximate location you are in when you usually open the email
The information we collect is stored in a separate database operated by our data processor, Markethype, is not shared with others, and is deleted when you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can unsubscribe by clicking the link for this in the newsletter, or by contacting us at webmaster@ofo.no.
To perform our work tasks, we also use email. Emails we have received should be deleted when it is no longer necessary to retain them. We ask that sensitive content, such as payment information and personal data, not be sent by email.
Telephone
If you call our administration number (+47 22 01 49 00) or ticket office (+47 23 11 60 60), your number, the duration of the call, and when you called are stored. This information is stored by our data processor for telephony services, Phonero. The call log is stored for 14 days.

You have the right to access your own information

Complaint about our processing of personal data
If you believe that the Oslo Philharmonic has not complied with your rights under the Act on the processing of personal data of Norway, you have the right to complain to the relevant supervisory authority. This is done by sending a complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
