Folk Festival at the Palace Square
Alpesh Chauhan is the conductor at the Oslo Philharmonic’s folk festival at The Palace Square. The orchestra has a tradition of concerts outdoors, almost as long as the orchestra itself. They have performed at Holmenkollen, The City Hall Square, and Myraløkka more recently, before the first Palace Square concert in 2017. This is our sixth concert in front of the Royal Palace; you do not need a ticket. Welcome!
There is a limited number of seats available at The Palace Square, so we recommend that you bring your own chair. If it rains, we ask you to leave the umbrella at home and bring rain gear instead.
The concert is produced in collaboration with NRK and the Royal Court, with support from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, Oslo municipality, and Tom Wilhelmsen's Foundation.
