The Oslo Philharmonic Performs Arvo Pärt at Oslo Domkirke

The Oslo Philharmonic join Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir under the baton of conductor Tõnu Kaljuste as guests at the Oslo International Church Music Festival.

Pärt: Tractus

This evening's conductor, Tõnu Kaljuste, worked closely with Arvo Pärt (b. 1935) on the album Tractus. The works on the album are scored for string orchestra and choir. It is a collection of older and newer works, all of a meditative and spiritual character. The music explores change, transformation, and reflection. The recording was made in connection with Arvo Pärt's 90th birthday and is a work that comes to terms with the past.

Produced in collaboration with the Oslo International Church Music Festival.
