Halloween Harry Potter

When J.K. Rowling’s first book about the young wizard Harry Potter was published in 1997, it was the beginning of one of our time’s most significant cultural phenomena. The film series that followed took the popularity to new heights, and the seven books are now the most selling book series of all time.

Composer John Williams left his mark on the Harry Potter universe through his music for the three first films. Some of Williams’ themes were also included in the subsequent films, along with music by Patrick Doyle and Nicholas Hooper.

At this performance, you can join Hogwarts’ Norwegian branch. Professor Grumblecore will guide us through the world of Harry Potter, with music from the films and script by Torstein Bugge Høverstad, the Norwegian translator of the book series. Bring your wand, dress up as your favorite character from the Harry Potter stories, and celebrate with us!
