Beethoven's Nightmare

Igudesman & Joo are back with a world premiere.

With over 45 million views on YouTube and a string of concerts in the world’s most prestigious concert halls, one can safely say that the hysterically funny duo Igudesman & Joo have taken the internet and the music world by storm. When these two get going, what may start with Mozart might lead to Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive or a track from a James Bond film. Their previous visit to Oslo, in 2017, was a tremendous success, and now they return with a brand new world premiere. Beethoven’s Nightmare has its starting point in the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s music, but who knows where it will end up?

The duo Igudesman & Joo consists of the musicians Alexei Igudesman and Hyung-Ki Joo. They first connected over a meal of fish and chips while studying at the Yehudi Menuhin school in England, and quickly discovered that they both wanted to find their own way of disseminating classical music. In the same spirit as Victor Borge, they use humour and virtuosity as their most important tools, to the delight of audiences all over the world. In recent years they have toured with BIG Nightmare Music, AND NOW MOZART, UPBeat, and many other shows.
