Family Circus Mozart Williams

Contemporary circus was born in the 1970s, and is a form of circus which blossomed in alternative theatre circles, combining traditional circus acts like juggling and acrobatics with elements from other art forms such as theatre and dance. The expressive possibilities of contemporary circus are very varied and, like music, present demanding technical challenges.

Musically, the performance is built up from the small, transparent format to the gigantic: the concert opens with Bjarne Brustad´s duo for violin and viola, which is followed by Mozart´s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and other pieces for different sorts of smaller ensembles. After a while the stage is filled with a full symphony orchestra which concludes the show by giving its all in the music from the Superman films.
